Give Kids a Smile Friday Feb. 6

OralHealthPic2 (640x565)The New Jersey Dental Association will sponsor its annual Give Kids a Smile NJ day Friday, Feb. 6. Each February, New Jersey’s dental community comes together to ensure the delivery of care to thousands children under age 13 who otherwise may not be able to afford or access oral healthcare. Give Kids a Smile NJ has grown to be the largest, single-day program of its kind in the state.

To sign up your child for GKAS, you must make an appointment at one of the participating GKAS locations in order for your child to be seen. View list of participating locations.

New training on important infant/toddler issues

Slider_ChildCareACNJ recently released a series of videos that cover topics critical to improving the well-being of New Jersey’s infants and toddlers, including fetal alcohol syndrome, reducing trauma for young children and key development milestones. School Breakfast Participation Rises 55 Percent

10_07_2014_4th_Annual_School_Breakfast_ReportNew Jersey schools are feeding breakfast to about 75,000 more low-income children each school day, giving students the morning meal they need to concentrate and learn, according to the 2014 Food for Thought School Breakfast report released by Advocates for Children of New Jersey.
