ACNJ Advocacy Hub for Babies
A baby's brain develops rapidly in the first three years of life, building the foundation for later learning, behavior and health. The early relationships, environments and experiences during this period set the stage for what happens later in life. Good experiences supports healthy growth and development. Family instability, poverty, poor health care and low-quality early learning environments adversely impact long-term health and development. Because success begins at birth, ACNJ is calling for state leaders to do more for our children right from the start. We are gearing our advocacy efforts to ensure that New Jersey supports:
- Quality, affordable child care;
- Time for parents to bond with their babies; healthy emotional development;
- and strong physical health and nutrition.
