NJ lags nation in providing nutrition for young children
Just 67 percent of eligible NJ infants benefit from WIC, compared to 77 percent nationally. For the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, also known as food stamps), NJ also lags behind, reaching only 57 percent of young children, compare to 66 percent nationally.
