ACTION ALERT: Tell Congress to Protect Head Start now!

RFK Attacking head start

Proposed federal changes to Head Start could weaken the standards that protect program quality, including requirements related to early learning, health, family engagement, classroom ratios, teacher qualifications, and services for children with disabilities.

Head Start helps children prepare for school while connecting families with nutritious meals, health services, and other essential supports. It also enables parents to work and is especially critical in communities where few other affordable early learning options exist.

New Jersey’s congressional delegation needs to hear from us. Ask your federal representatives to urge the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to withdraw these proposed changes and preserve Head Start’s strong, comprehensive standards.

Act NOW! Send an email to your federal Senate and House members.
