Michelle Lamendola

Michelle is an education attorney with the KidLaw Resource Center at ACNJ. She counsels families on a wide range of education matters including special education and related services, the IDEA, Section 504 accommodations, student discipline and expulsion, attendance, and bullying and harassment. Michelle helps parents advocate for their children by explaining their legal rights, reviewing school records, negotiating with school board attorneys, and attending school meetings and mediations alongside families. She also develops fact sheets and legal resources on education law topics and provides workshops and trainings for parents and professionals. Before joining ACNJ in 2025, Michelle practiced family law and complex business litigation. She is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates and the New Jersey Special Education Practitioners. Michelle earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2009 and her B.A. from Wellesley College in 2006.
