About the NJ Food for Thought Campaign

Led by Advocates for Children of New Jersey and Hunger-Free New Jersey, the New Jersey Food For Thought Campaign is driven by a statewide coalition committed to combating childhood hunger.

This effective partnership of state agencies, health, wellness and education organizations, municipal government, child advocates and others has resulted in a significant increase in the number of New Jersey children receiving school breakfast. The coalition is now working to combat childhood hunger by ensuring more kids have summer and afterschool meals.

The coalition works to build statewide support for the expansion of these three child nutrition programs through outreach and communications. Coalition members also work closely with local communities to help advocate for and meet the challenges of implementing effective child nutrition programs. We’re grateful for the work of all of our campaign partners on this critical effort.
